WHY PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE IMPORTANT TO AMERICA’S EDUCATION.

Public Education can be defined in various ways and from various perspectives.

The term public education can mean education publicly financed tuition-free, accessible to everyone and it is accountable to public authorities. In the United State, schools that are maintained at the Public expense for the education of the children of a community that constitutes a part of a system of free public education commonly including primary and secondary schools. Few times, universities are also included. Public education can also be said to mean that larger range of decision making lies at the community level through the operation of locally selected school boards and through various avenues of direct citizen participation in the schools. In this schools, public decisions making also occurs through the election of state and congressional representatives as well as other public agencies designated to carry out specific school functions. Public Education can also mean a system where parent and the general public can obtain detailed information about a school and be involved in every activity within the school curriculum.

Education is the key to success and only the public schools are legally required to accept all students no matter their race, religion, educational level, special needs, social class, family income or personality. Only public schools guarantee that the amount spent on each student equal from school to school with the community and across the geographical location where those students…
